Re-opening celebrations (with pictures)

Friday, August 24th, 2007

Following the damage caused by the recent floods and after all the hard work and effort put into getting the centre re-opened we celebrated the re-opening on Thursday 13th Sepember 2007.

Members and non-members were invited to visit the newly refurbished centre. For new members there was the opportunity to view the facilities and chat to staff and members of the centre.

GPs and Health professionals were also invited to join us and see how our therapies can compliment what they offer to sufferers of MS.

MS Walk

Thursday, August 16th, 2007

On 30th / 31st July, 6 employees, centre members and family undertook a charity walk as part of the MS Walk to raise funds for the centre. They walked a total of 25 miles from Knaresborough to Leeds and on towards Wakefield.

They raised much needed sponsorship of £1250 for the centre as well as publicising the facilities of the centre on Radio Aire.

Floods update

Thursday, August 16th, 2007

Following the damage to the centre from the recent storms, fundraising is a high priority. In order to get the centre re-opened we are striving hard to continue fundraising to ensure that we can continue to provide the support that our members have become accustomed to.

Through generous donations from various local companies we have managed to obtain items to help with the redecoration project.

Many thanks for the kind donations. It is very much appreciated.
