We would like to wish all our members and visitors to this site a Happy New Year and best wishes for 2008.
Hello
Everyone at the centre has been so busy latley I don’t know where to begin!
I saw Sue (Alexander) and she said I was doing well with the chat but why had I deleted so much of my blog! You’ll be pleased she sorted me out and hopefully that won’t happen again. Sue also told me how to put pictures in, so look out for the Christmas Party Photos.
The staff as usual have been very busy, Joanne did the Ilkley Fare Sunday and the writing to Supermarkets paid off she got over £60 in vouchers as well as things for the hamper. Unfortunatley it wasn’t the success she had hoped for, but she still managed to raise £70 with the help of Eaman Joshua and Daniel. Mr and Mrs Buckle also gave their support.
We had the Vibrogym training on Wednesday, Trevor ran the chambers whilst the rest of the staff including Sue Alexander, her daughter Stephanie, Brian Hyland and myself got to grips with technical and physical procedures of operating the vibrogym. So I am guessing that all is go!
The Christmas Party went well even though Richard had to climb on the roof to stop the leak! I think Sue (Huggins) should put Richard and James in the newsletter under recommended trades men - trade name could be BODJIT and LEGGIT what do you think? A big thank you to Mr and Mrs Buckle who did a brilliant job on the bottle stall.
Trevor was dissapointed to turn up for a collection and found that he was double booked with Mcmillan Nurses but he managed to re-schedule and got 4 days in February. Please if you can help at all, even if it is just to give them an hour off for lunch it is much appreciated. Trevor I am sure would like to thank everyone who has helped this year raise the magnificant sum of £35,460 plus what Trevor collects today (Monday) I will give you a final total for the year when it is available.
I would like to congratulate Joanne on her recent addition to her family…….8 (Yes
puppies!!!! As if her life isn’t busy enough!
Claire King, the star of Emmerdale and Bad Girls took part in ITVs All-Star Family Fortunes, raising much needed funds for the Centre.
The show was aired on ITV on Saturday 15th December 2007. Claire and her family raised £500 for the centre.
The centre will close at 1pm on Saturday 22nd December 2007 and re-open at 9am on Wednesday 2nd January 2008.
We would like to wish all our members & friends a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
