Hello
Remember me? Sorry I haven’t been keeping you up-to date but the main computer broke at home so my son commandeered my lap top! The amount of time he spends on it he must be up for a FIRST in his degree!!!
Things have been reasonably quiet at the centre and everyone has just been getting their head down and geting on with things.
Sandra (Physiotherapist) is back and very busy but places are available, the charge for a 45 min session is £15 (a real bargain when compared to private) so please phone Joanne if you would like an appointment. The staff are busy trying to get their holidays in before April so James was off last week and Richard will be off next week. Trevor is busy with his collections and filling in for everyone. We have a new volunteer Angie and she is in the centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays are busiest days! Joanne is a little less stressed she has homed 6 out of the 8 puppies!
Joanne is always on the lookout for fundraising ideas and help. The MS Challenge in July is a really great event. Longs Haulage always put a team together for us. Do you know anybody who could get a team together?
****Committee News****
After the AGM the committee appointed Bruce (Witty) as Chairman. Phil Atkinson who has served on the committee for many years resigned. The AGM for the year 2007 will be held in May/June. As the centre is now all nice and shiny I think the committee are looking at updating the toilets to bring it into line with the rest of the centre.
That’s all the news for now, I will try not to leave it so long next time.
Linda
