We are looking for new committee members, we have a few people interested.<\/p>\r\n

We need people who preferably have a skill or understanding of such things as HR, Administration, FUNDRAISING, General Maintenance or just people who are prepared to roll up their sleeves and support your centre.<\/p>\r\n

If you are interested, please put together a few words outlining how you would like help the centre. You can email Joanne or hand it into the centre. Everyone would be considered carefully.<\/p>\r\n

Paul has managed to secure us flooring for free saving us \u00a38,600 we need to pay for the courier and glue to stick it down. Can you help with that or know anyone who can? We also need help to take up the flooring and lay the flooring, move furniture etc if you can help, please speak to Paul or Joanne.<\/p>\r\n

The West Yorkshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre was founded in 1984, offering a range of therapies to support the people of the whole of Yorkshire suffering with Multiple Sclerosis. The centre relies solely on donations, subscriptions and fund-raising to provide practical help five days a week.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

For anyone, the sudden disclosure that Multiple Sclerosis (MS) has appeared in their lives \u2013 either because they themselves have been diagnosed, or someone close to them has \u2013 will be a major shock generating a need for information, advice and reassurance. We are a self-help Therapy Centre offering assistance to people with Multiple Sclerosis throughout North, East & West Yorkshire. The Centre provides a range of drug-free symptom management therapies as well as advice and support for all those with the illness and their families.<\/p>\r\n

As well as offering facilities for people suffering from Multiple Sclerosis we also offer services for people suffering\u00a0from Cerebral Palsy, Cancer, other Neurological conditions as well as for people with various sports injuries.<\/p>\r\n

Treatment centres across the UK are providing High Dose Oxygen Therapy for diabetic ulcers, carbon monoxide poisoning, non-healing wounds and fractures, stroke and other neurological conditions including brain trauma as witnessed by the well documented recovery of Lance Bombadier Ben Parkinson MBE<\/a>. The unwanted side effects of tissue damage due to radiotherapy are well known. High dose oxygen provides a means of ensuring the damaged tissues receive enhanced oxygenation to help their healing.<\/p>\r\n
